Q1: How to set up Cobo Guard?

Cobo Guard is a transaction approval application developed by Cobo that allows you to authorize transactions anytime, anywhere and securely store your MPC key shares. Once you set up Cobo Guard as an MFA method, it can also be used automatically as a login method.

  • Log in to Cobo Accounts and click on MFA Management in the main menu on the left hand side.

  • Click on Set Up next to Cobo Guard.

  • Download Cobo Guard. Note that Cobo Guard is only compatible with iOS. For Android users, kindly try other multi-factor authentication methods.

  • Open your Cobo Guard to scan the QR code shown on Cobo Accounts.

  • A message will be sent to your Cobo Guard for approval. Click on Approve in your Cobo Guard to finalize the setup.

Q2: How to use Cobo Guard for login?

  • Switch to the Log In tab.

  • Click on Guard.

  • Ensure that your Cobo Guard is updated to the latest version.

  • Use your Cobo Guard to scan the QR code.

  • Select an account in your Cobo Guard and click Log In.

Q3: How to reset Cobo Guard?

Note: After the reset, your approval privileges will be temporarily suspended. Kindly inform your admin to activate your new Cobo Guard first.

  • Log in to Cobo Accounts and click on MFA Methods in the main menu on the left hand side.

  • Click on Reset next to Cobo Guard.

  • Download Cobo Guard on your new mobile device.

  • Use your new Cobo Guard to scan the QR code displayed on Cobo Accounts.

  • Open the Cobo Guard on your old mobile device for authentication.

  • Click on Approve on your old Cobo Guard to complete the reset.

If your old Cobo Guard is no longer accessible:

  • If you have set up security keys and/or Google Authenticator as MFA methods, you will be prompted to complete either one or two rounds of verifications, depending on your settings.

If you have only set up Cobo Guard as your MFA method, kindly reach out to to reset your Cobo Guard.
